Against the Clock

Installation in public space
A proposal that attempts to explore quotidian questions in the relation with the city, the public space and mainly with life, in this imaginary clock that time represents in the individual and collective perception.
“ContraRelógio”(Against the Clock) is a project presented by the representation of the metro lines as an analogy to the line of life, with the sentence “A Vida, Em Tempo Real.” (The Life, In Real Time.) and an analogical clock, aiming to intensify the appreciation of the present time without loosing of sight the potential of the future. The chronology of the line is organized according to the average life expectancy of 80 years old. This temporary installation contributed to the development of a theoretical framework about the concept of “(Des)vinculação” [(Un)linking].
