Fluttering silhouettes embrace matter in movements that are both delicate and daring. The female body's outpourings express a harmony of rhythms in this collective of nymphs. Similar to Greek vases that depicted scenes from mythology, animated dance moments are represented in choreography here.

The painting is a spiral dance of merging figures, symbolizing life's journey through a confusing world. The figures are two, their shapes blurred by the dance. The brushstrokes convey movement and energy, and the colors create depth and beauty. The painting inspires us to embrace life's twists, surrender to the dance, and find joy in the journey.

STATEMENT
Collective Exhibition, 2021
Filipa Viana's work is a multidisciplinary exploration of movement, gesture, and process, drawing inspiration from dance, theater, and performance. Through her art, she reflects on the physical and psychological boundaries that shape our perception of reality and human behavior. She views the body as a conduit between the self and the world, a dynamic entity that imbues meaning rather than simply embodying it. Her works offer a poetic exploration of the potential for new forms of representation, composition, and self-discovery, often oscillating between order and chaos, balance and imbalance.

One of Filipa's central themes is the power of the female body as an archetype of beauty, which she explores in pieces like "Quartet in Motion," where curved forms are juxtaposed with dynamic gestures. Her works often blend and dissolve postures into movement, with scenography playing a crucial role in shaping the action.
In encountering the "other," Filipa finds the greatest expansion of her consciousness, as seen in her works compiled under the title "Body of Encounter." The spiraling dance between two central bodies in "Life, Spiral, Dance" reflects on the power of opposites and the boundaries between the individual and the collective, the interior and the exterior, the material and the ethereal, and the figurative and the abstract.
Filipa's paintings propose a symbiotic relationship between the figurative and the abstract, choreographing them for the spectator and placing them in the position of the audience. Overall, Filipa's work offers a nuanced exploration of movement and the body, and their relationship to the broader human experience.
Also in a ceramic exhibition entitled "Travel" is a narrative about the journey and the path. The moment when curiosity compels us to embark on a journey.
The robust women depicted in this exhibition explore unknown structures and places as if it were their first time. The first time they engage with the world, and even the first time the world reflects a gaze back at them. It is a gaze that is committed both inward and outward, mirroring a longing for life. Sculptures made of stoneware, despite the solidity in the appearance of the female body, simultaneously possess sensuality. There is harmony in form and a relaxed sense of humor in each posture.
